This time I made a card. with a special technique for the background. Using the new collection: "This Lovely Life" by Annette Green   I really love this layered butterfly from the new collection. I've embossed the body of the butterfly and the text "Anniversary". The background is made with toilet paper. Moisturize it with water and layering it up. Then add it to the die cut folder and emboss it in your machine. Let it dry a night...   I've added some distress ink to the process for the effect you see on the photo's.   For the card I used the other side of the embossed paper.     I colored the leaves with distress ink as well as the background. Then stroke with the stamp pad itself over the paper. Now you see the lines of the leaves. Ingredients of the card: Die cutting folders:  Layered Butterfly 2134 Fancy Cut-Aways 2137 Everyday Words 3 2141 Postage Stamps 2026 Design paper: Hormonious Hodgepodge C024   Other materials: Toilet paper Distress ink Emb...

DIY envelope with fake rice paper

The promised DIY post: "How to make a fake rice paper envelope" Using the new collection: "This Lovely Life" by Annette Green       How to make fake rice paper:   Use 1 part of coffee and 2 parts of tacky glue and mix it well together.  (Instead of coffee you can also use tea or water with distress ink).     Use an insert sleeve and mark the size of your napkin Add the mixture with a brush on your sleeve    Add one layer of your napkin or tissue paper and another layer of your mixture. You can make more wrinkles in your paper if you like.   If you like a thicker piece of paper: add another layer of tissue paper and another layer of the mixture.   Push against the edges of your paper to make them thicker. Let it dry for a night.   Now you can take your fake rice paper of the insert sleeve.   Decorate it with clear stamps and Stazon if you like.    Use a thin layer of water based markers to add some color. (Be care...
